Greetings from Warsaw, Poland
Hello from Poland! It’s 6.13am in Malaysia at the moment, just past midnight here and I’ve just come back from dinner a while ago in Warsaw where I will stay for the next eight days for work. I am here to cover Microsoft’s Imagine Cup 2010, there is a Malaysian team contesting.
This is the first shot of I got from Poland. I haven’t yet had much chance to explore the city – we walked around a bit and then I came back to take a nap before waking up for dinner.
Oh, I also managed to catch the Holland versus Brazil World Cup game at the bar in the hotel. The atmosphere was quite exciting.
We did, however, manage to go for a bit of a walk in Frankfurt, Germany, because we had five hours to kill in transit. For some reason, the system here requires us to go through immigration to sort out our transfer flights so we were able to take a cab into the city.
I will head back to Frankfurt for one night after this event is over here in Warsaw, so I’ll save those shots and stories for another post.
In the mean time, I’m just dropping a note to say hi and good night. Will leave you guys with this shot from Frank of me together with the two people I’m travelling with here – Lavinia who is babysitting me and Gabey, the other journalist on the trip.
12.19am in Warsaw, Poland (+1 GMT)
